How donations are received, recorded, allocated, and refunded.
⚖️ Draft — this text is a proposed framework awaiting legal review and formal adoption by the society's administration. It describes intended practice, not yet an adopted instrument.
Every donation intent receives a unique reference (WBSD-XXXXXX). Manual transfers (CliQ, bank, eFAWATEERcom) are matched to you by that reference. Records are kept for audit and published in aggregate in our transparency section.
Donations marked as zakat are segregated and disbursed only within the shariah rules of zakat, to eligible residents in need. Zakat is never used for construction, administration, or general operations.
If you transferred an amount by mistake or duplicated a payment, contact us within 30 days with your reference and we will arrange a refund of the erroneous amount. Deliberate gifts are, by their nature, final once disbursed to care.
We decline donations that come with conditions conflicting with residents' dignity or the society's independence, and funds whose source appears unlawful.
