Policies & Governance

🛡️ Elder Safeguarding Policy

Our commitment to protecting residents from abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

⚖️ Draft — this text is a proposed framework awaiting legal review and formal adoption by the society's administration. It describes intended practice, not yet an adopted instrument.

Zero tolerance

Abuse of an elder — physical, verbal, financial, or through neglect — is never tolerated at the Golden Age Home, whether by staff, volunteers, visitors, or family members. Every report is taken seriously, recorded, and acted on.

How to report a concern

Anyone — resident, family member, staff, or visitor — can raise a safeguarding concern by phone (+962 6 552 9397), in person to the duty supervisor, or through the complaints channel on this website. Reports may be made confidentially.

Staff screening and training

Care staff are reference-checked before hiring and receive training on dignified care and abuse recognition. Volunteers work under staff supervision.

Financial protection

Staff may not accept gifts of money from residents, be named in residents' wills, or handle residents' personal funds outside documented procedures.
